Product Care

Ceramics

All the ceramic items featured on Otti home are dishwasher and microwave safe, although we do recommend that they are hand washed where possible. This helps their longevity and keeps your favourite ceramics looking their best.

Woven textiles

Due to the nature of these products, we recommend hand-washing with a wool-suitable detergent or dry cleaning only. Plump cushions regularly to keep them looking their best.

Sheep skins

A shake and a good monthly brush with a metal-toothed brush (a wool carding brush is best) to bring the fleece back to its beautifully fluffy, sumptuous self. The wool fleece will naturally felt and clump with use but regular brushing will help keep your sheepskin looking its best. We do NOT recommend you wash your sheepskin.

Beeswax Candles

Before lighting your candles please insure they are secure in the candle holders you are using. Trim wick when needed. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Burn candles out of reach of children and pets. Always leave at least 10cm between burning candles. Do not burn candles on or near anything that can catch fire. Only burn this candle on a level heat resistant surface, do not place directly on glass or marble surfaces.

Waxed Linen

To clean, wash your waxed linen bag in warm water. Do not place hot food inside bag. Always allow hot food to cool down first. We recommend that the waxed linen bags and wraps are re-waxed every 6 months with natural beeswax to keep them looking their best.

To clean your waxed food wraps, wash in cool water. Do not wrap hot foods, always allow hot foods to cool before wrapping.

To freshen your wax bag and wraps, place sheet of grease-proof paper (provided) on top of the cloth. Iron all over on a medium setting. Allow bag or wraps to cool for a few minutes until it stiffens.
